Incorporation timeline & what ACRA requires
How long registering a Singapore company actually takes, what ACRA requires at each stage, and what can slow a filing down.

Stage 1 — Name application
Company-name applications and any referrals are decided by the relevant authority. Check current ACRA guidance before relying on a proposed name or timetable.
Stage 2 — Document preparation
A responsible provider may need information and documents before it can decide whether to act. Confirm its current process and any applicable requirements directly with that provider.
Stage 3 — External submission
A responsible authorised party may make an external submission. Submission, acceptance, and any registration outcome are decisions outside UpVue.
What ACRA requires, in short
- An approved company name.
- At least one shareholder (individual or corporate; 100% foreign ownership allowed).
- At least one director ordinarily resident in Singapore.
- A company secretary appointed within six months of incorporation.
- A registered office address in Singapore.
- At least S$1 of issued share capital.
What slows things down
- Missing or expired identity documents (proof of address must be recent).
- Inconsistent details across forms — a mismatched name or address.
- Regulated or sensitive words in the company name.
- A founder who is slow to complete their KYC step.
